The Department of Homeland Security today announced suspension of the new rules which require US citizens to show a passport when returning by air from Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean — because the State Department has a backlog in processing of passport applications.

Does anyone else besides me remember that the new rules were announced well in advance of their effective date?  Why should I pay in decreased security for those who refuse to get things done in a timely manner?  What number of ill-intentioned persons will be allowed to slip into my country due to this slacking of enforcement?

At the end of this past January, I was presented with an opportunity which would require that I make one or more trips abroad over the course of the remainder of the year, beginning in mid-to-late May.  The very first thing I did — even before knowing for certain that I would be traveling and the exact dates and locations of travel — was to apply for a new passport since my old one had expired years ago.  Reports of the processing backlog were already being published — and I wanted to do all that I could to make sure that I would have my passport in-hand well before I needed it.  That included to have it before I bought non-refundable plane tickets.  The passport arrived in the mail a couple days short of the announced ten weeks processing period — three weeks before I would need to purchase airfare to be able to travel cheaply in mid-to-late May.

Given my ability to get on the ball to securing a passport just as soon as I knew that I might be traveling abroad and not saving that most important step until late in the planning — I call on the Feds to partially reinstate the new passport rules to deny entry to anyone who’s passport receipt is dated to show that they did not apply soon enough to expect to have it in-hand for travel according to published wait times.  I also call on those who have even the slightest belief that they might be making a land crossing of either our northern or southern border beginning January 1st of next year — when a passport will be required for re-entry — to get their application in now so that they don’t end up to be crying fools like so many of those who have been crying to their Congressmen because they didn’t bother getting their passport application in on time.

That is the title I would give to this story from World Net Daily. It tells how a coalition of advocates for illegal aliens and continued illegal immigration — including La Raza — have set up an 800 number for people to call to lobby the US Senate for passage of the sell-out “immigration reform” bill now before the Senate. The web site cited in the article not only coaches obvious illegals — who have no business calling a US Senator — how to say (in English) to the Senate staffer who answers the phone, “Support immigration reform that protects families and workers”, but they also pass along the caller ID of the caller to the 800 number — instead of the actual 800 number from which the call to the Senate office originates — so that the staffer is deceived into reporting that the call came from a loner instead of from a person who is part of an organized effort.

My suggestion is that every reader go to the illegals website and call their Senators on the illegal’s dime! Do what the site says — call early and often — use up as many of their dimes as you can!!!

By the way…can anyone please supply me with the number to some members of the legislature in Mexico, and also to their president Calderon, along with some coaching…so that when I call and the staffer picks up the phone, I can tell them in Spanish, “Please ship one barrel of oil to the United States for free per month for every Mexican who is there illegally. Thank you.” Better yet, can someone please set up an 800 number like La Raza uses so that it looks to the Mexican officials like all of the calls are coming from within Mexico? I will be glad to publish the numbers (or the 800 number) here for everyone to use after they use La Raza’s 800 number to tell their Senators to put this crappy piece of legislation in the trash can.

In case you have been deprived of learning the actual history of this country — that is, of the United States Of America — “carpet-bagger” was how Southerners would refer to people from the North who came down south after the Civil War and carried all the booty they could manage to steal back up north with them…

I’d like to thank Michael Savage for alerting us to this bogus crap on his radio program, which airs weekdays at 5PM Central time.

In light of the announcement yesterday of the Senate’s new and improved approach which has received the blessing of the President — the screws and goons are on the same side — I will once again post the US-First 13-point plan for dealing with illegal immigration as it appears on the US-First web site.  Whether or not this becomes law, it is evidence enough that WE THE PEOPLE need to do some serious house-cleaning at the national level.  Michael Savage is right — BORDERS, LANGUAGE, and CULTURE.

I am not a xenophobe, racist, or whatever pejorative term you wish to toss my way.  I am for allowing immigrants into our country on a controlled basis so that we can properly assimilate them into our society — while embracing all they have to offer that is better than what we currently have.  When they come here and operate “under the table” — everybody loses except the criminals and greedy.

And now…the US-First 13-point plan:

Our nation is made up of immigrants, from those who came aboard The Mayflower to those who arrived today. US-First welcomes all who come to our sea and land points-of-entry in accordance with our laws and who wish to either stay with us for a time to better themselves in accordance with our laws or to stay permanently and embrace our American culture, language, and values — while enriching us with that which they have to offer.

With the above statement in mind, and realizing that not all who currently come to the US are fulfilling it, US-First offers the following plan for reform of the current status:

1. Get a handle on the borders NOW. We don’t need a wall. We need to bring most of the permanently-stationed military in from Europe, Asia, and elsewhere to patrol and enforce the borders and coastlines. 
2. Require proof of citizenship (birth or naturalization certificate) to register to vote. 
3. Require two forms of ID to vote in any election. 
4. Deny publicly-funded social and non-emergency medical services, and public education to all non-citizens. Do not penalize private providers. 
5. Alter the law so that children born to non-citizens are no longer granted citizenship at birth. They will be granted citizenship (residency) if/when their parent(s) are granted citizenship (residency), or they may choose to pursue citizenship (residency) on their own once they reach the age of eighteen. 
6. Enforce the laws already on the books against hiring illegals, including penalties for those who [obviously and repeatedly] do. 
7. All non-immigration related government oral and written proceedings, forms, publications, etc. shall be in English only. 
8. Require English-only in conducting business (excluding only private, non-job-related conversations) in non-travel or hospitality-related establishments that serve the general public (i.e., do not cater to a specific group of people). Religious and fraternal organizations shall be exempt. 
9. Impose heavy tariffs on out-of-country money transfers, which will be waived upon proof of reciprocal into-country money transfers. 
10. Prohibit the flying from a flag pole (or other permanent fixture) of any flag foreign to the United States. Flying such flags from non-permanent fixtures (e.g., hand-held, car-mounted, temporarily-placed flag stand) would still be allowed. Representatives of foreign governments, and religious and fraternal organizations shall be exempt. 
11. Simplify the process and provide proper staffing levels to handle whatever amount of legal immigration we deem desirable, to make the process more understandable to the immigrants and to proceed in a more timely fashion than at present. 
12. Declare a moratorium on deportations of those who have broken no laws besides those related to immigration and their inability as illegals to perform (e.g., lack of auto liability insurance and licensing), during which time all illegals shall be required to register. Upon expiration of the moratorium, any undocumented alien will be subject to immediate deportation, as will any registered alien upon conviction of an offense which carries a possible sentence of time in the penitentiary. Persons who choose to register will be required to update their registration on a yearly basis (e.g., every January). Let it be known that registering will not be a guarantee of a subsequent granting of citizenship or other residency status; but, at such time as we might decide these matters, being registered will be looked upon with favor. 
13. Outlaw “sanctuary” declarations by municipalities and other entities.

This will go a long way towards making those who are here to take advantage of us leave of their own accord without having to be deported. Those who are here to meld with our language and culture will not be terribly inconvenienced. Neither will those who are not currently exploiting illegals for cheap labor.

Once the above measures are in place, we can then discuss which of those illegals who remain might be made legal and eventually naturalized.

It’s May Day again, and this story tells how the good Commy illegal aliens and their home-grown supporters are once again on the march demanding a path to US citizenship — which they already have.  All they need to do if they want to become a US citizen is to go home and follow the procedures which we have already published to the whole world to be followed by anyone who wishes to come here and to become a citizen.

The mere fact that they again choose May 1st — May Day — the high holy day of International Communism — to hold their events, speaks volumes.  A am listening — you do indeed have my attention.  Now, go on…get out of here.  And, when you go, please take your non-American flags with you, like the one with dark grey stars on a light blue background shown here…  (Or, at least someone please get a photographer who is not so stupid as to take a picture of one back-lit by the sun when it’s made of very thin material — it looks bad.)

I am not a xenophobe, nor am I against Mexicans, Asians, Russians, Nigerians, Irish — all represented within our borders by illegal aliens.  Matter of fact, I am getting ready to file the paperwork to sponsor a person to become a legal alien.

FOOTNOTE: This story shows their true color — RED.  When you can’t get coverage from your laughable numbers — get violent.  I applaud LAPD for not letting it get out of hand.  Now, all of you good Commies ask yourselves if the police back in the rest of the world — from which you have already evicted decency — would be so quick as to look at their actions to see if they could have accomplished their goal of restoring order and restraining violence with less use of force…

Oh…by the way…I got first-hand knowledge of how you Commies operate when I was attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee back in the fall of ‘76.  I was not happy with either choice I had for president in the upcoming election (Ford, Carter), and the Young Socialist Alliance was right there to recruit this then useful idiot (as Lenin called the party faithful at the grassroots level).  Within a week, I understood that their aims and tactics were anathema to democracy — and left them.

It looks like 75 percent of your crowd from last year have already figured out their place in your Commy society.  I welcome every one of them who will follow the rules and be qualified by them to come join the mainstream of life here in the USA — where they will not have to live in the woodwork and be treated like dirt.  They must speak American English, fly the US flag, and learn of what has made us great enough to cause them to risk all to come here illegally.  And, I hope that they continue to bring with them their delicious foods and their dedication to traditional “American” family values.

This Story reports that our fine, compassionate, supposedly fiscally-conservative President Bush (and I am sure most members of Congress – who are also not particularly bothered by spending someone else’s money) want to throw in yet another $1 billion to extend federal housing benefits to those who lived in areas affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita until March of 2009 — four and one-half years after the fact!

Has anyone ever heard of getting a job and an apartment?  Yeah, it might not be as nice and comfy as what they once lived in — but I have my own bills to pay.  One year…to allow people to get something going.  But, 20 months later…and we still have 100,000 people (and their dependents) still sucking the federal tit — with the pocketbook of each hard-working taxpayer, including those who did whatever it took to get something going for themselves after the storm, being a milk duct?  It’s time to let that tit dry up so that they must start to feed themselves for a change…

It is time that We The People put US-First and tell them that their days of putting me first are over.  Am I being cold and heartless when I myself got laid off in July of 2001 and was not able to get decent-paying work until June of 2005?  I worked odd jobs and put in an absolutely hated year with Wal-mart.  (It’s not meant to be a slam on Wal-mart, they do well with what they have to work with.)  I was born and raised in Minnesota and now live in suburban Houston, Texas — and they could not pay me enough to go back to that cold and snow — unless that was where I had to go to get work which paid for food on my table and a roof over my head.  I started looking out-of-state when I decided that would be preferable to continuing my time with Wal-mart.  Luckily for me, my luck finally changed not long thereafter…  I first paid-off all the bills which I had accumulated after draining every last cent of my savings, I am now getting my house back in order after having to postpone five years of needed repairs.  Oh…I never went down to the unemployment line.

One of our soldiers, Sgt. Jim Wilt, who is fighting for us in Afghanistan to preserve our way of life, is quoted in this story as asking that we as a society pay the same respects to one of our soldiers when he falls in battle as we have done to the victims of last week’s massacre at Virginia Tech.  I will go one step further and ask that we pay more respect to each fallen soldier because they each – with forethought and well before the day of their death – put their life on the line for us.  Those killed at VT initially did not — although we all have heard of the hero professor who did put his life on the line for his students after the shooting started — and he paid for his decision with his life.  The respects that we have all paid to the murdered at VT was by order of our President Bush, who ordered that all flags at federal facilities — which includes military bases in Afghanistan – be flown at half-staff.

My statement is in no way meant to diminish the lives or deaths of those who were murdered — I am outraged that such evil is in the world.  None of them deserved to die like that.  The bastard should just have turned the gun on himself and put us all out of his misery.

Sgt. Wilt – I — and many other Americans –appreciate the sacrifice that you are willing to make for us.  Such is an expression of true love, when a man is willing to lay down his life for one whom he does not even know exists.

The flag should not have been flown at half-staff for these murder victims in the first place.  It is not appropriate to fly the flag at half-staff at the passing of ”ordinary” Americans — including myself.  Each one of their lives was as precious as anyone else’s life.  But, in the same sense as any soldier, they were not “special enough” to warrant a symbol of national mourning at their passing from among us.  That honor is reserved for our most public figures — and none of these people were known to any significant portion of the public before the bastard openned fire — not even the hero professor.

OK…it’s not, since we don’t have such a system of government here…and I don’t want us to change to a parliamentary system as they have…in Ukraine.  But, we can draw some analogies between their current situation and what has been going on over here as of late.

Their Constitution creates a divided government similar to our own, although the lines of demarcation and the associated checks and balances are not as clearly stated as in our own Constitution.  Their President Yushchenko — who has the constitutional authority to conduct their nation’s foreign policy — just as our President Bush has the same authority for the US — has been leading Ukraine away from Russia and towards Western Europe and NATO.  Their Prime Minister Yanukovich – a member of the legislative branch of government who does not have direct authority to dictate foreign policy — is pro-Russian and has been in a battle with Yushchenko over this and some other issues since taking office.  He has traveled abroad without the blessing of the president — just like Speaker Pelosi and some Republican legislators — and speaking other than the “official line” to other nations.

The final straw came when Yanukovich attempted to enlarge his majority in the Verkovna Rada (Ukraine’s national parliament) enough to override any presidential veto — but by means not specified in their Constitution.  To wit, Yushchenko exercised his constitutional duty and authority to dissolve parliament and call for new elections — to be held on May 27th.  As you might guess, this has thrown things into quite a tizzy over there…

Perhaps Speaker Pelosi and the rest of her legislative compatriots who are not abiding in the place assigned to them by the US Constitution should take a cue from events in Ukraine and get back in their place.  We will be electing a new president next year — let her and anyone else who believes that we ought to follow a different foreign policy than that being  pursued by our current president enter the race.  Or, let them yank on the purse-strings — which authority they do have and should exercise if they want to curtail any of the president’s policies.

(This particular article should not be taken as an endorsement of President Bushes foreign policy or as condemnation of Speaker Pelosi’s views on what our foreign policy ought to be.  Those are separate issues.  It is how she and her compatriots are attempting to get their views implemented that is at issue here.)
